Principal's Year-End Message

  • Dear parents and guardians,

On behalf of Zakher Private School, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and collaboration in making the first academic term of 2025 a remarkable success.

Reflecting on our journey, the progress our students have achieved—from their baseline testing to their end-of-term accomplishments—speaks volumes about the combined dedication of our teachers, the hard work of our students, and your invaluable partnership.

While challenges are an inevitable part of any academic term, your cooperation, patience, and trust have been instrumental in overcoming them, ensuring a nurturing and effective learning environment for our children.

As we look ahead, we kindly request your continued encouragement as our students prepare for upcoming standardized assessments. These include ADEK-mandated exams and school-led assessments such as the ACER IBT for native Arabic speakers and the GL Progress Tests for English, Science, and Mathematics. These assessments play a vital role in shaping their academic growth. The academic calendar, along with schedules and procedures, will be shared shortly to help you plan effectively.

During the upcoming holiday period, meaningful tasks have been assigned to our students. These activities aim to reinforce learning while encouraging creativity and critical thinking. We also encourage students to work on projects that showcase their pride in our national identity and foster a sense of patriotism.

To support their personal growth, we strongly recommend dedicating time to reading during the break. Reading enriches vocabulary, enhances communication skills, and broadens perspectives, fostering intellectual and emotional development. Students will actively engage in reading tasks using the Learning Accelerator tools in MS Teams. Reading passages will be assigned to them through the Assignments tab. As part of the task, students will record themselves reading aloud using the Reading Progress tool, enabling them to monitor and reflect on their fluency, pronunciation, and overall reading progress. Your encouragement in cultivating a love for reading at home will have a lasting impact.

As the festive season approaches, I wish you and your families joy, peace, and prosperity. May the New Year bring continued success, happiness, and good health. We look forward to welcoming our students back on January 6, 2025, refreshed and ready to embark on another fruitful term.

Thank you once again for being an integral part of the Zakher Private School community. Together, let us strive for even greater achievements in the year ahead.

Season’s greetings and warmest wishes to you all!
