Zakher Private School follows the Cambridge Curriculum
At Zakher Private School – Falaj Hazza, we offer the Cambridge Curriculum, an internationally recognized framework that promotes intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of core learning. Our curriculum is aligned with Cambridge Assessment International Education standards while fully respecting UAE national values and ADEK regulations.
The Cambridge Curriculum is designed to be flexible, engaging, and challenging, providing a solid foundation for young learners. Our approach emphasizes conceptual understanding, inquiry-based learning, and real-world application to prepare students for lifelong success.
Our school is structured into three key stages following the Cambridge framework:
• FS1 and FS2 – Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Year 1 to Year 6 – Primary Stage
• Year 7 to Year 9 – Lower Secondary Stage
Each stage follows a carefully sequenced progression of learning objectives. Teachers ensure that all standards are taught effectively and that the full breadth and balance of the Cambridge framework is explored. In the Early Years Foundation Stage, strong emphasis is placed on developing foundational skills through play-based and structured learning, with additional support for young learners.
Our senior and middle leaders, along with classroom teachers, work closely with Cambridge-certified coordinators to ensure consistent implementation of the curriculum across all stages. This collaboration allows us to monitor student progression closely, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that every child is well prepared for each transition point, from FS1 to FS2, from EYFS to Primary, and from Primary to Lower Secondary.
Regular assessments, both formative and summative, provide valuable data to inform teaching and support individual student needs. Throughout the academic year, we offer workshops for parents to help them understand the Cambridge Curriculum, its expectations, and how they can support their children’s learning at home. We believe that strong home-school partnerships are essential to student success.
