Dress for Success, Pride, and Belonging School Uniforms – ZPS British Division

We believe that a smart, consistent uniform promotes school pride, equality, and discipline. Please review our uniform guidelines below to ensure your child is dressed appropriately for school each day.

All uniform items must comply with ADEK guidelines and ZPS British Division standards.

Uniforms

FS1 to Year 3 Uniforms

All students from FS1 to Year 3 are expected to wear the complete Zakher Private School uniform

Boys' Uniform ( FS1 to Year 3 )

Item Description
Shirt Camel colour uniform shirt with the school logo
Trousers Navy blue trousers purchased from the uniform store
Shoes All-black shoes (black dress shoes preferred)
Winter During December through February, students may wear a winter jacket

Girls' Uniform ( FS1 to Year 3 )

Item Description
Under shirt Blue grey shirt worn underneath
Frock Blue grey and white mixed pinafore-style frock until the knee
Leggings White school leggings
Shoes All-black shoes (black dress shoes preferred)
Winter During December through February, students may wear a winter jacket

Year 4 to Year 9 Uniforms

All students from Year 4 to Year 9 are expected to wear the complete Zakher Private School uniform.

Important Note for Year 4 to Year 9
Students must wear the uniform properly and be prepared to remove outer layers at staff discretion.

PE Uniform (All Grades – FS1 to Year 9)

On days when students have Physical Education class, they must wear the designated PE uniform.

Note: This PE uniform is the same for both boys and girls. Students are reminded to maintain good hygiene after participating in strenuous physical activities.

Important Notes & Instructions

Not Permitted During Regular School Day (All Grades)

The following are not permitted during a regular school day or any special days for all grades:
• Non-black footwear
• Sandals, flip-flops, crocs, ballet flats
• Hats, caps, and hoods indoors

Dress-Down and Special Days (All Grades)

Theme Days

On designated theme days, students are permitted to wear non-uniform clothes. However, they are expected to wear appropriate, modest dress on these days.
This means:
• Covering shoulders and knees
• Avoiding clothes that are too tight or revealing
Unacceptable items include:
• Halter or tube tops
• Short shorts
• Ripped jeans
• Yoga pants
• Bare midriffs

Important: Inappropriately dressed students will be asked to change promptly into a school uniform or will be sent home immediately.

Dress Up Days

Dress Up Days are held occasionally, and students are encouraged to keep to the prescribed theme.

Note: Dress Up Days are not free-dress days.
